davidorea 0 Posted June 16, 2009 The first one is about my first marriage. One day in 1959, I went to my grandparents house. In the living room I saw one of my aunts talking with a lovely woman. But I mean a very well gifted and lovely woman. When I saw such beauty, I thought : "I want that woman for myself, and for nobody else ... what should I do?" And the first answer that came to my mind was "David, marry her ... that's the only way". Yes, I was correct that was the only way. So, I walked to her, and when I got close, I asked her : "Would you like to be my wife?" ... she saw my aunt a little bit suprised but immediately she saw me and said : "Sure David, I really would like to be your wife". (Great! I thought) Although she was about 21 years old and I was 4 years old, I didn't care. So, my aunt said : "Well, let's do it". And they began to prepare the ceremony. Yes, the whole event. About one hour later, the house was perfectly prepared. They invited all my uncles and aunts and some friends. My aunt went to the piano to play the wedding march. Another aunt asked to me " Are you ready David ?" ..... "Yes, I am". So that lovely woman and I walked with the rhythm of the march, from the bedrooms (is an antique house with very long bedrooms, immediate to the living room) to the living room. There, close to the piano was ... let's say something like an altar. When both of us arrived to the "altar", one of my uncles with a book in his hands, said : "David, do you accept this woman to be your wife?" and my immediate answer without a doubt was : "Yes, I do" .... then he asked to her "And you, (her name :) do you want to be David's wife ? Then she said : "Yes, I do" ..... And my uncle said : "Well, I declare you husband and wife." Then she kissed me (of course in my cheek) and I kissed her (of course in her cheek). I was really happy because I had attained my objective. Some hours later, I was in my parents car, going home ... it was so late, and I needed sleeping. Anyhow, I will never forget that special day. About twenty years later, I was in Vail, Colorado. I spent some days in Boulder, Denver and the last 3 days in Vail. A friend of mine had found an ex-girlfriend of his youth and she lived with her lovely daughter (Yes, the lovely girl of the portrait) and her parents. So, those days, while my friend and his ex-girlfriend spent some hours talking and remmembering things past, I spent some hours talking and playing with this lovely baby. The last morning in Vail at the breakfast time, suddenly she took my hand and pulling it she said: "David, can you come here, please ?" Then she took me to a small room and closed the door, pulled a chair, climbed on it, and from there when she was in front of my eyes ... at the same heigh, she embraced my neck and kissed me. And after kissing me on my cheek she said : "David, I love you!" I melted ... she was so tender and innocent, so full of grace and beauty, then I kissed her cheek. After that, she said "David, would you come back soon ?" and I said "Of course, I hope so". Those were some of the best moments of my life. Thanks for your comments! Link to comment

Felicitaciones amigo, te has lucido de nuevo, otro 10! Link to comment

thadley 14 Posted June 17, 2009 have you thought of writing professionally? - a wonderful story! You have caught a wonderful and cheeky look - I would even say perhaps a mischievous look. There are some technical considerations but the beauty of the moment overrides them. Congrats. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted June 17, 2009 David, what a beautiful story with illustration. You are a gifted and lucky person, dear friend. You have the blessings of The Muses . " From success you get lot of things, but not that great inside thing that love brings you", Sam Goldwyn. Link to comment
davidorea 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Donna.- You are correct, she is a little angel. Her kiss was like a blessing! Kaur.- As the father of the lovely Mia Ambika, I have and idea of how happy you are. With your wife Helena and your son Gabriel Taavet ... I know how lucky you feel. Alberto.- Precisamente por eso esta sin calificar, el sistema solo acepta hasta el 7, pero esta preciosa pequeñita merece por lo menos un 10 en estetica. Acertaste ! :) Mari.- Muy, muy bellos recuerdos, definitivamente. Gracias. Tony.- Writting professionally ... me ? The story has been written using several dictionaries in my PC. What I really like to do since I was a kid is narrating stories. In the past, to my brothers, sisters and cousins .... later to my sons, nephews and any little kid. I remember when my youngest son, came to me some nights, and asked the narration of a new story of Mr. Samuel & Nilo. Two personages created by me ... Mr. Samuel, an old man about 70 years old and Nilo, a kid about 9 years old. And their amazing adventures, sometimes in a jungle, sometimes in a desert, sometimes at the ocean... stories with suspence, danger, comedy, romance ... etc etc. But of course, always with a happy end. So after that he could go to sleep ... and dream. :) Amalda.- You are correct, I feel gifted, very lucky and of course blessed. The thought of Sam Goldwyn is a big true. Thanks dear Amal for sharing! jayanti 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Has it ever crossed your mind that we continue living thru all difficulties just for these rarest of rarest moments? Or perhaps foolish of me to ask; it is certainly your realization, otherwise you would not have narrated these two wonderful stories. She is like an angel, and the light falling on her cheek makes her more so. Best wishes, . Link to comment

davidorea 0 Posted June 17, 2009 Bobby.- Thank you very much for your comment. You are correct when you say : "Every people have many good memories, and they should keep them" ... and other two beautiful memories that I will keep for ever, are : "Badkonake sefid" (aka: The White Baloon) and "Ayneh" (aka: The Mirror) ... two of the most tender and beautiful movies I have ever seen. And both movies are acted by the lovely Mina Mohammad Khani. I love her! :) Jayantidi.- Yes, this kind of moments, to me they are "gifts" that we receive from heaven. And these gifts are like absolute proofs that the life is not an accident but an interesting part of the existence. And even bad moments in our lives, to me are like tools to learn and understand more about ourselves. From the moment when we defeat our ego and when we began to share knowledge, everything in our lives changes. In other words, intention is cause ... and depending of the quality of our intentions, will be the quality of the effects. Lawrence.- Thank you very much for your comment. Link to comment

sumon_mukherjee 0 Posted June 17, 2009 This is a portrait of the heroine of a fairy tale. The source of the light on her face is David’s unforgettable nostalgic pleasure. Her expression is the reflection of David’s reminiscence of happiness experienced while roaming down memory lane. Best regards. Link to comment

rogerleekam 0 Posted June 17, 2009 An enchanting portrait, David. I think you should do more of them. I like the blown-out light on the side of face and hair. A touching story also - to me it says so much positive about you. It's a sad commentary on our times that an attachment between a child and an unfamiliar adult causes suspicion nowadays. GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted June 18, 2009 She truly is a 'beauty' and in time will be 'stealing all the boys hearts' but for now, she has 'stolen yours David'....................children with their innocence, surprise....and the wonderfully magnificent things they unexpectedly do.....I've begun writing down some of the things my children have done and said in their early years.... for it is true, you do begin to forget. I love how she is 'flirting' with you in this shot...it is just precious as is your 'stories'............loved it......when we share a bit, we begin to know the person behind the lense a wee bit better, and understand more 'just why ' he takes the pictures that he does! thankyou for sharing this lovley 'slice of your life'!!
