Love this composition. It has great light that is filtering down and thru the petal creating an amazing throw of shadow and highlights. The close crop gives the overall image an abstract feel and look. Wonderful detail and color. All the best and Thank You.

Thank you for all the kind words and please know how much I appreciate you taking the time to leave your comments. I took many shots of these beautiful and unusual colored gladiolas, I am pleased with almost all of my results from this shoot. Having close to “perfect” light of course helped! I am not sure why I picked this one to post other than I thought it was a different view than most. I did not crop, its shot at f11, 2sec. ISO 100, max zoom with a 70-200L.
