lintrathen 14 Posted October 11, 2012 This image conjurs up lovely memories of our time spent with these "gentle giants". One of my favourites. Love to have your comments. VIEW LARGER. Regards Link to comment
sgust 1 Posted October 11, 2012 The only thing I can think of to suggest would be to increase the contrast/sharpness a bit. It boils down to your personal sense of taste, but viewed large it looks a bit soft to me. It's a great image already as is, just thought I'd give my 2¢. Link to comment
lintrathen 14 Posted October 11, 2012 Thank you for your comments..... your suggestion however has been mulling around in my mind for quite a while....... so, thank you for the nudge. That electricity pylon has also annoyed me, so I got rid of it this time around.Unfortunately, to post it back in this thread limits me to about 700 on the longest side, so hopefully my changes are noticable.Your 2cts worth was well-spent...Regards Link to comment
snigam 0 Posted October 12, 2012 Great photo. However, I think the colors in original look more natural. The reworked version seems to have blue cast. My 2 cents worth.Sandeep Link to comment
sgust 1 Posted October 12, 2012 I agree with Sandeep, somehow the image took a blueish cast in your edited version. I did a quick edit on it to give you an idea of what I would do with it. I didn't even notice the pylon till you mentioned it. Link to comment
lintrathen 14 Posted October 12, 2012 Thanks guys for your input on the original vs adjusted version..... your comments are well-founded. Yes, I got a bit "carried away" with my adjustment (smiles), so thanks Siegfried, for bringing it back into perspective. Yours is spot on... even with the pylon (smiles). Thanks for your interest......Regards Link to comment
monika_epsefass 0 Posted October 12, 2012 I like the original version very much, for its colours. What you might do, though, is to tilt to the left slightly. IMHO there's a bit of an unbalance, leaning the picture to the right. Nice capture! Link to comment
