setsail728 15 Posted June 13, 2009 Beautifully done!! I like the DOF to keep the concentration on the flowers with no distraction from the background!! Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 13, 2009 Thankyou.....yes the Dof tured out quite nice, there's a lot going on back there but it would take a lot to take away all 'distraction'...besides ...sometimes I'm a bit too fussy and have to remember it's ''nautre" and that is how it looked....maybe one day I'll get crazy and do something quite artistic with this one!! LOL...thanks again for your visit. Link to comment
blouinp71 0 Posted June 13, 2009 Gail,Overall this is one you should certainly be proud of. I agree with you about how much more is going on in the background. Yes, it's nature and that's how it looked but perhaps next time you can try to shoot it from a couple of different angles to see if you can't reduce the busy background. This particular instance makes me think that if you had stepped off to the left about forty-five degrees you might have eliminated some of the distraction. Still, it's a great shot!Paul Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 13, 2009 Thankyou so much for your "take' on this shot Paul...........unfortunatley, there was fences, that I climbed 'through'.........lattice work to try to 'shoot' through.............this 'branch' of the bleeding hearts appeared where I never thought it would...........but was 'hanging' so perfectly.............I am doing it over...but it will be totally 'photoshopped" in the background.........unfortuanately, time does not permit me to be so 'fussy' at this moment.......there are 'other' obligations in life I must attend to............but to be sure .......a better ''version' will appear.......I'm sorry if you have to be patient.....life is going on in the background....the 'sidelines'.................we have 10 grandchildren.........and there never is a 'dull' moment........ MY luck.................this bleeding heart will be dead or almost there by next week.....a dear friend of mine is dying.............and I am unable to be there for her............unable to 'chase away her fears'.............unable to 'hold her hand' like I did when we were 'chums'...........she is not in my family,,,,,,,,,,,,,but the only FAMILY she has left.............and I cannot be there...........when 'fear' grips her heart''.........SO iF I DON'T HAVE A 'REPLACEMENT image right away,,,,,,,,I apologise..............it will be there eventually , But I cannot even 'retake" it to improve on it.........it all has to be 'Photoshopped..........thankyou for your kind comments.....they truly are appreciated....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
divo 0 Posted August 23, 2010 Saw some of these last year at the local botanical garden and had the wrong lens for a good shot. I guess I need to schedule another visit. Thanks for the motivation! Link to comment
