Puppy Love

This image was created to express the love and admiration the girl had

for her puppy. The treatment was done to simplify and enhance the

emotional connection. Did I achieve this or not? Regards

I like the picture. I think the composition, the facial expressions, and the blurring of the edges all work toward what you're trying to do. I'm not sure the high contrast helps, though. If you want to emphasize connection between the girl and the dog, wouldn't converting to monochrome help?

Thanks for your comment. I tried this image in B&W and found that for me it lost its focus and my eyes traveled to the background, the brightest part of the image. The color was my attempt at refocusing on the subjects and for me it makes a better statement. Regards
