jerrymat 4 Posted June 10, 2009 Well, a pretty woman, partly dressed is certainly a nice subject. Here you have a good pose, a nice exposure, but a few technical problems that could be prevented. Your light sources have cast two shadows, using reflection from a wall or any of the available diffusers on your light source would help. I don't usually like to advertise products, but I have found the Gary Fong diffuser dome product to be remarkably helpful in this type of imaging. Your background has a horizontal line going behind the model's head which I think is quite distracting and the half reflector of a lamp on the right is more so. I am not quite sure why but the pillow between her legs has taken on a blue cast - maybe window light? Regards, Jerry Link to comment
clemsonguy 0 Posted June 11, 2009 Jerry, thanks so much for feedback. I think you are absolutely spot on, To be honest, I didn't even notice the blue cast until you mentioned it. I guess I have to be more observant. I think it is light from the window or a shadow caused by the angle of the remote bounce flash I had to her right. As for the light in the top right, I considered removing it, but then I thought it added a "prop" to the picture. Maybe I was wrong. With the line intersecting her head, I was left with the situation I was dealt. Again, I could have removed it, but I try not to get too crazy with PS. Maybe I could have taken an angle looking down on her and avoided that situation. Thanks again for taking the time to give me your insights. They are very helpful. Dan Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted June 12, 2009 Beautiful model and a very nice sexy pose. The lighting here has produced an unpleasing shadow on the background, on the right side of the model. Using a soft box or bouching the light source in an umbrella would eleminate this problem. I would also clone out the bright half circle in the upper right corner as I find it a bit destructing. Congrats. Link to comment
