thadley 15 Posted June 10, 2009 I was attracted to this image immediately. They are cut so evenly with the exception of one or two pieces which adds to the charm of the image. And then there is that fantastic light which is like the brown cane sugar which you will add in step 2. Well done and congrats Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted June 11, 2009 Thanks for your thoughts. I left a few strands visible to create a bit of tension in lieu of motion. I mean, it is a static subject. The beautiful directional light is from the kitchen window which is higher than the counter & serves as a cheap softbox. The white refrigerator on the left served as a fill source. Brown cane sugar you say? I'll pass that on to the cook as it sounds more interesting than the white refined stuff that passes for sweetener around this neck of the woods. christineandrews 0 Posted July 8, 2009 Hi Len This photo brings back so many memories..My mother grew rhubarb for years...could hardly wait for spring so I could go out in our garden and pick it and dip the raw rhubarb in sugar...thank you for this photo...I think it would look great framed and hung in my cottage kitchen :) Link to comment

gardena 0 Posted August 12, 2009 I live in Japan where few know what rhubarb is, and those that do think it is very exotic! My garden here is tiny and the climate not suitable for rhubarb, unfortunately. My Mum has some in hers in NZ, where I will be soon. Yumm. Link to comment
