Ready for take off

Any comments will be much appreciated, thanks.

The butterflies are nicely sharp and detail rich. But you have a quite nervous background. Imagine a blured background: The animals would stand out much more.

 

With the setup of having the wall behind, I see that this would be difficult, but if you could get closer (if your lens allows it) and only take the the one on the left or the other two butterflies, the blured background could become possible, without loosing focus on the wings.

 

Just an idea...

Super clarity, but I would agree that the butterflies would seem even more clear with a bit more blurring to the background. I love the way they almost appear to be dancing lightly across the leaf. The green really POPS!

The moment I saw this I thought of jets lined up on an aircraft carrier, and then I saw your title, same idea. About the background: maybe some very careful dodging/burning/blurring in photoshop if you wish to follow that suggestion?

I like background - it brings some non-standard blur and dynamics of natural habbitat. I am sorry bacause the firstone (first form the left) had less light than other two.

Must be something wrong with me. The quality of the butterflies & leaf they are standing on is so high that I never noticed the bg until it was mentioned. The picture is a great job, well done.

Very nice detail and color, I know this to be a difficult shot as one breath of air and the butterflies take off. Nice work.

I like the balance of the composition and the gentle upward sweep of the green leaf. Very nicely composed. Tough to pick the background, as is, it is not so bad! The saturation and colors make the butterflies really POP! The bright streak on the leaf really adds interest too. Upside down is right side up for this photo!
