samrat 1 Posted June 9, 2009 One of those moments of reflection, perhaps, as the world goes by beneath her window. Taken at the long end of 12 optical zoom. Thank you for your critique. Link to comment
jayanti 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Nice work Samrat. I like the two spots beside her and the way she is placed beneath three bars, looks like she is caged in the lowest rung of a shelf. Nice tones too. Mukher expressionta arektu sposhto hole bhalo hoto bodh hoy. Best wishes. Link to comment
amalsircar 2 Posted June 9, 2009 Samrat, very good composition & tone. Why wait for night? Advise her to take to photography, she will be active and see a luminous dawn. Link to comment
samrat 1 Posted June 9, 2009 Thanks for your input. This was on the far end of a zoom as I shot this from a lane below and across. That explains the not so clear face. Of course the positioning of the lady had nothing to do with me...it was her own choice!!! Link to comment
rajnishduara 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Very good example of a frame within a frame composition. I like her natural look. Also interesting is the bird droppings on the pane. May have been cropped a bit on top to complete a perfect framing. Good work. Link to comment
shaldar 0 Posted June 9, 2009 Beautiful shot. Her fingerjoints are distorted, suggesting that she is a patient of arthritis and probably incapacitated. For her, window is the only place by which she connects herself with outside world. Her face depicts a pensive mood. This is the story,in my own imagination, I can reveal with this picture. This is why I rate this image with appreciation.Great work.Congrats. samrat 1 Posted June 9, 2009 Thank you both for your input. Rajnish, I've kept that bit purposely, else I thought it'd have turned out to be too "perfect", if you know what I mean. Perhaps the frame as it is on top makes things a bit natural. Susmit, well spotted with regard to the arthritic fingers. You've obviously got a good eye. You're right, she's probably thinking on those lines as you've mentioned. Link to comment
sumon_mukherjee 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Samrat, it's really a good capture. Very nice composition with the horizontal lines and the darkness in the background. Best regards. Link to comment
andrea-de-bonis 6 Posted June 10, 2009 samrat, ther is not somuch to say.... the photo arrives very well, is perfectly done (the balance between the shadows and the light is very natural, the moment is good, is a storyteller. the comp also is correct, and the two traces of the pigeons give something more and human to the story. what else? bravo! life-in-perspective 0 Posted June 10, 2009 A very good theme. The mornings should also be there for her. Best regards. Link to comment
