tmcleland 0 Posted June 8, 2009 Hopefully this isn't out of line (and as you know I think you're a fantastic photographer). I think the view is stunning, though I would have liked to see a little more pop. Initially I thought the part of the tree on the side should be cropped, but now that I look at it more, it really serves to frame the view. Lovely composition...of course, the color shift is just a taste thing. Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted June 8, 2009 Thanks for taking the time, don't feel bad for doing it, it is interesting for me to read ,and even see what my visitors think. I thought myself that a bit more saturation/contrast needed and I added some ( it takes time at PN to show...) . It is also a personal taste. Your looks too saturated and dark for me, so something in between both of us is the better choice. Let me explain the situation, it was taken in mid day( as a tourist one uses every moment...) a very bright day with an unusual heat wave, seeing the city from that high hill ,the city was having a haze. I always look at the bigger sizes of photos( mine and others) thats how it looked ,bright especially at the horizon. I like my photos as close as they come out from my camera, even though I post process them. Thanks again Tim. Link to comment
laurent_jaussi 0 Posted June 8, 2009 the PoV is is superb and I like the composition....maybe abit more contrast but like you I prefer less than too much...just what's needed would be ideal and saying that, I amuse myself to question who's the reference then....well simply the photographer who took the image...:-) Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted June 9, 2009 Pnina, beautiful cityscape with a slice of history & tradition. I particularly like inclusion of the river, bridge and the tower. Link to comment
vadima 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Hi Pnina, I like the color saturation of the currently displayed version (I presume it is updated now). Indeed it is so interesting to learn from PN comments how different the perception of color saturation could be among people liking to takes pictures in the same genre. Kind regards, Vadim (and thanks for for your recent visit) Link to comment
khataw 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Hello Pnina, Beautiful image. Amazing character. I like your composition. You have taken some risk by having tall vertical elements in the foreground but I think it did pay off. Beautiful image. Best Regards Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted June 11, 2009 Laurent, I agree with you.I like to know what people are thinking, and sometime showing me , some of it I accept ! Vadim, yes it is the updated version, thanks for following up. Ali, it was taken from the hill, and the trees were a fact... so I used them to my advantag ;-)) Link to comment
copcu 0 Posted June 12, 2009 I like the low key colors and slightly desaturated version, in short yours :) congrats and regards. Link to comment
Jack McRitchie 150 Posted June 13, 2009 This captures the Italy of my imagination. Unfortunately, I have yet to make it even to Europe, let alone Italy. I have to make due with your pictures (and, of course, Guiseppe's) and be satisfied with some of the good Italian food I sampled during my stay in San Francisco. (Uhhhm,,,sauteed sweetbreads....yumm!) Link to comment
