mauroni 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Nice composition with all those warm tones and that light so typical during the summers in the Po river valley. The spyglass-effect (the portal in the background in relation to that in foreground) works very well. I'm doubtful on the deep black that connects the two portals. I suppose you wanted it but I wonder if a more textured connection would work even better. Compliments for the honest simplicity of this picture Mauro Link to comment
dallalb 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Thank you all for your kind comments.Mauro, the black, detailess area between the two portals is due to Velvia's narrow dynamic range, but, as you guessed, I wanted to get this effect so I didn't take two exposures to blend in post processing... I wanted a very natural-look image and that black area doesn't give the viewer any clues to estimate the distance between the two portals: I liked this uncertainty...Alberto. Link to comment
bevip 0 Posted June 15, 2009 Ciao Alberto. Trovo l'immagine raffinata sia nella ricerca della giusta luce che nella composizione. Hai incorniciato in modo elegante l'erosione del tempo e dell'abbandono.Bravo Link to comment
