matthijs 0 Posted June 12, 2009 This is of course very personal, but to me: I'd have preferred the background out of focus. (wider aperture) Plus the colors are a tad dull. That's partly due to the light and the postprocessing but partly also due to the composition. My guess is that a little wider focal length and a step closer would have kept the statue firmly at the center of our attention but would have made the picture more interesting. The other option would of course be a lot of steps backwards and a longer lens but then you'd have lost the entire palace. (The problem is of course that wider and shallower depth of field is a bit of mutually exclusive... But hey, nobody said my comment hjad to be physically possible.) I hope this helps, Matthijs.
