pnital 36 Posted June 6, 2009 After meeting Dennis Aubrey, a good guide for the Romanesque cathedrals in Europe, coming to Verona and visiting the 12th century cathedral of San Zeno, I really understood his enthusiasm , It is not the first cathedral I saw, in this visit and others in Europe, but I learned something looking and reading about this era in his work, and came with another eye this time. I liked the construction of the yard it is impressive. It is known as well that in the 4th and 5th centuries there were 2 other constructions that were destroyed, another one was built at the 9th C. and was damaged in an eartquake. It was renovated and extended from the 12th till the 14th century,( of course it is in brife.) Thanks for viewing. Link to comment
mazevedo 0 Posted June 8, 2009 You've managed to show every single aspect of this basilica in one image and with a great composition too. The best so far from your voyage. BR, --MAA Link to comment
