chrisvest 1 Posted June 7, 2009 a great picture diminished. the aging effect of the textural treatment has left us with the knobby bumps of the canvas-like paper, but has sandblasted the detail and color of the wonderful subject. the slight glowing impression along the figure is excellent, as is the the curve of the body reinforced by the stone wall, but i respectfully submit that the texture should not (as a vague rule) supersede the wonder and delicacy of the subject.
