lindabique 0 Posted June 5, 2009 Funny how attractive they can be in pictures...when they're not being pesty...great capture Sonia, very good exposure with nice details in the whites and the fly...I like the composition and the bokeh too....do you have some dust on your sensor? Beautiful macro...:) Link to comment
setsail728 14 Posted June 5, 2009 Whoa! A green fly...whadda pest!! Yet, Sonia, you make it look beautiful!! Nice composition and what I expect is a rather shallow DOF so that only the fly is in sharp focus. Very effective!! ( Uh...you did swat the critter after you finished photographing it, didn't ya'?) soniam 6 Posted June 5, 2009 Hi Linda and Warren. Great to hear from you both. Linda, yes, I am way over-due for a cleaning. Warren, I managed to not swat at them. If they are outside, I even leave spiders alone. they are only in grave danger if i find them inside my house! Thanks for stopping by! Link to comment
jill_rocker 0 Posted June 5, 2009 You have a unique talent in making unpleasant and creepy animals look like rather beautiful animals and that´s not easy :) Great work on this shot... Amazing sharpness and details... All my best, Jill Link to comment
lesliejbng 0 Posted June 5, 2009 I've never seen a fly look so beautiful and interesting. Great detail, lighting and color! Nicely seen and presented....I hope he didn't follow you into the house ;) Take care, Leslie Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted June 6, 2009 This is a wonderful macro, the fly in a superb shape and very sharp, outstanding my friend and I am so sorry being late where I love to be the first to view your amazing work. For the whle last week I come home too late as I run a still life course for some of the members at the State Of Qatar photographic Secoity. Thank you my friend for sharing your work with us and wishing you all of the best. Link to comment

jtipton 0 Posted June 6, 2009 Morning Sonia- Great macro. This makes me want to go out and buy a real macro lense! Well composed and presented. GailAnthonyHarmer 5 Posted June 7, 2009 I've heard a housefly carries more germs and disease and is more dangerous than a 'tiger'.....must be because of the germs...and although kind of disgusting...in order to feed, they vomit and then 'suck' back their food........Enough of that ugliness....as this wonderful irredescent creature looks quite nice on these blossoms.....perhaps the creator made them so beautiful in color so we could see them easier...and thus 'catch' these pesky creatures...these ones in particular seem to always be on the move and are the hardes to catch....you've made a 'little beastie' look quite attractive!!! Guest Guest Posted June 8, 2009 Never thought of a fly being beautiful but you have shown it as a real beaty. Very nicely done with the flowers to the side Link to comment

soniam 6 Posted June 11, 2009 Hahaha. Actually, in several other shots, you could not see it's colours either. The light just hit right for this one. Thanks so much for taking the time to comments and rate. I appreciate it Link to comment
