david_l._forney 0 Posted June 4, 2009 Nice job with this photograph. Very simple, direct, B&W with nice tones against black background makes it quite compelling and attractive. Fabulous! 7/7 David Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted June 4, 2009 A very simple looking but visually stunning portrait. The connection of this model to the camera is amazing. The little details, the whisp of hair, the expression, the soft light, the perfect skin and the position of her arms works well. I like the off-center position of the subject and the black background. Link to comment
owen_omeara 1 Posted June 5, 2009 Wonderful image David. This is one I am sure you would have known I would love. Perfect skin tones and wonderful facial capture. -Owen Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted June 6, 2009 David, Kind words! I think it may be the beauty of the model that make it compelling. Thanks! Mark, Thanks for all the kind things you have mentioned here. I am particularly happy that you picked up on the connection the model makes with the camera. It is something I do love about models when they can do it as well as this. Owen, I have never been a good judge of my own images. It is even harder to gauge what others will think of them. For that reason I am always happy to receive comments from you and everyone. Thanks for your support and encouragement. Link to comment

terrygilroy 0 Posted June 8, 2009 A great expression, she looks like she is about to burst into laughter. Technically excellent, regards Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted June 9, 2009 I don't remember her laughing. I am glad you like this! Thanks for stopping by. Link to comment
dugstervision 0 Posted October 13, 2009 I like the simple soft lighting which is balanced by the blackness. She seems unaware of the camera and is absorbed with looking at herself in the mirror. I like her expression- very natural looking. I like the linear design. I think the heavy shape of her left arm competes with her face, and works against qualities of elegance and delicacy. Looking at the black shape at the right, I would crop 1/3 of it, for a greater sense of balance. Link to comment
davidmccracken 2 Posted October 14, 2009 Thanks a lot for your input. It is always a joy to receive such comments and critiques. I hear what you say about the space to the right. Even though I cannot say you are wrong, I do actually like the space to the right. Link to comment
