mpitak 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Brad, There as several issues there. First a frame/composition is too tight. I guess you tried to show a majesty of El Capitan- it does not work here. Trees are distracting, unfortunately it is quite hard to take a picture of this Mount (not only) from the bottom of the valley...trees are everywhere. Another thing is haze light and under exposed shadows due to morning sun flashing in your direction. I presume you were in the shadow and there is a direct light flashing on one face of El Capitain...These are extreme conditions for every camera. You should work a bit more on this, remove haze, play with curves and tones, maybe convert to gray scale, etc...even from such photo you can get something more. Yosemite is such a natural wonder so you really need to show it. Regards. Link to comment
