I saw this and wanted to like it. But to me it would be a more interesting picture if either it was perfectly centered and the yellow had no imperfections. OR if the lettering were very off centered

Thanks for yor sincere thoughts, very much appreciated.

Amr, I must say I just like it this way but find your thoughts very enriching ones.

John, I just didn't take time to figure out which category this would fit in.

Laurent...it's become somewhat of a joke for me that if i can't figure out what category to use...i put it in fine art. ;)

It's a very simple image at first sight....I can totally imagine the reason why people could pass over it in a fly....on the other hand it's a symbol of consumption society where you get bonus if you buy more...as a fan of color I like this yellow, not the common yellow by the way... about it's non homogeneity and the shadows...well I just can't understand the previous commenter that would like it with a perfect yellow,...if it's perfect it would be a computer image, the imperfection make it a photography... for me "imperfections" are mandatory in a photo....which ones, how and so on still being valid questions....

I did not mean to make it a perfect computer yellow. I too like imperfections which is why I offered up my opinion. What I was trying to say was that I would have exaggerated the imperfection more by offcentering the text more while still having the paint stains or discolorations that are there. As an alternative, I would have preferred that the text be centered perfectly with dark splotch in the right and light streak at the top cropped out to let the subtle imperfections of the paint and the text become the focus of attention (like the different sized 5's and 1's or the black dot in the 4, etc.)

Thanks Amr for your response to my comment....I respect your opinion and understand it better now...I also just offered mine to this image from Laurent Lacoste...truth is I really like when people offer comments that are subjective and give some reason why they like or do not like an image (everybody's opinion is valid for me)...my response should not discourage you to make honest comments like you did...
