Since I was stretching out and holding the camera a few inches from

his nose, not using the viewfinder, and devoting most of my attention

to not casting a shadow on him, I didn't realize Amber had walked into

the scene. Do you think I should clone her out?

Hi Scott. What do you want to clone Amber out for? I don't think it would work as well without her in the background. It might have worked better if she moved a little to the left so there was a bit of a gap between them. I quite like the visual link of those two pink tongues. thanks Scott.

Thanks Karen. At first I thought she balanced the picture out, but after picturing her gone, she started to annoy me. With your suggestion, I'll just leave it alone. I'll get a better one of him one of these days, although he's proving to be a very difficult fisheye subject.....at least compared to Amber. He's only 4 months old and less than half the size of Amber....feet are bigger though, so look out. Larger the subject, more the affect of the fisheye lens, so maybe in time. I'm thinking his tongue will never compare to Amber's(at least I hope not), so that will also hurt him in the fisheye category. I took over 200 pics of Winston this morning and only 10 of Amber. I took those 10 of Amber very carelessly, not really wanting to take them at all, and also knowing they'd probably be better than Winston's. I've already got good ones of Amber , so didn't want to bother. Here's one of the ten I took this morning. Total coincidence the shots are so similar, with Winston in the background of this one.

HAH! Nice shot of Amber, Scott. See what you mean about her tongue. Winston's still got time to develop his own 'signature' look.

Scott,

I think this is a great picture (so is the other one you posted in the critique).

I think it shows the curiiosity that dogs tend show, Amber just wants to know what is going on!

As someone else said, the only thing I would have done is some how gotten the picture with Amber about 2 feet more to the left so her leg wasn't clipped.

Great pic IMO.
