Produces a mood of tranquility, peacefullness. Wish I was out in that boat fishing. By myself.

The flatter color palette I believe adds to the calm serenity of this image. Do not mess with them is my vote. I rate this one very highly. A beautiful image well deserving of it.

I don't care anymore what kind of digital toy store poster art stuff gets post here on photo.net as long as photographers like you keep posting superb work like this. Like I said before, "Behind the glass...not the keyboard." I'll get off the soap box now :)

My critique: first, I'll say this is near perfect. The subtle palette of colors sooths the soul, with a tranquil look across the water, overlooking the mountains will make almost everyone be in awe of the photo you made. What could be better? Not much but Ill say the image seems a bit dense but I feel it sets the mood effectively too. Further separation of color around the boat could help and dodge the mountains a wee bit. A big congrats again to you and I hope you get a POW for this. Photo.net seems to favor images with people though...

Good luck. --john orr

Wow !! You must be paying your clouds pretty well, to get them to pose that way...:-)) Splendid. Besides this and to be really picky, maybe I'd suggest a mild dodging to separate the cape in the center from the background hills. Regards.

This is a dynamite image, but I'm suprised someone hasn't suggested the pop-up flash on your SLR to give some exposure on the mountains! I love people :-)

Truly, a wonderful image.

I think a good picture should have one center of focus. In this case, I think the bright water reflection and brilliant clouds both competes for attention, resulting in a distracted, if still pretty, composition.

This is brilliant. The cropped version posted above does seem to have a little bit more punch, but you lose the beauty of the water that you have managed to capture. This is certainly POW material.
