It looks exactly as the title reads. Neglected, but the signs of melody( the notes) and wall paintimg, some colors tells a history of life and laughter. You have an eye Dave to see the basic of life everywhere, the irony, human behavior and actions., and humour as well.

I hope you are well.( just came back from Europe... will look at what I missed soon..;-))

David, this image shows how green is your imagination. I agree entirely with Pnina. Take care, my friend.

So well seen and captured, Dave. Another well spotted and different shot. Well done, my friend. Regards, Lawrence.

Thanks to all of you for taking the time to look and comment. I believe this was a rural American Indian school. I'll presume that there was a newer and better one constructed somewhere. While I'm realist enough to know that most of the kids who attended here probably lived in poverty, I cannot help but think that there must have been many a fond memory of childhood arising from attending children.

Abandonned places and kid's playground...in this particular image, you mix two things that are apparently as conflicting as past and future...for me it creates an interesting tension in this straight and direct compo....by direct I mean without artifice...I like the light and colors very much David...personnally I don't mind the asymmetry in general but if I were to propose something it would be just a little more space on the right...

I always liked child's playground...beside the fact that it's a fantastic topic photographically (with colors and element)...it raises memories...

Somber all the way around. The color and cartoonish graffiti is jarring amidst the arid surroundings.

The playground scenes you have done (and you have done many by my recollection) are usually so much more full of the childish joy they should entail. This one is much more melancholy. The saddest thing of all is that I think it may have been a little bit that way even when it was in use. These rural American Indian schools can be a bit grim.

This photograph conveys the sadness that accompanies thhe evolution of Native American cultures in the United States. I see a building, unimaginative in its architecture, sitting in the middle of flat grasslands and deteriorating. Its roof shows sign of weathering and wear, and the barricade is there perhaps to prevent anyone from getting hurt closer to the structure. Those who once occupied this building have gone elsewhere, perhaps following a more modern trail of tears.

This is a fantastic documentary. You really know how to tell a story.
