Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted May 27, 2009 The Roebling Suspension Bridge in Cincinnati, Ohio is a historical gem from the Civil War. Construction began in 1854, but was postponed so that completion did not occur until 1865 after the war ended. Curtailing construction prevented the Dixie soldiers in the South from crossing the Ohio river into North territory. Ohio was an anti-slave state. This view is from the bridge looking at Cincinnati from the Kentucky side. I'd appreciate your comments. Link to comment
markst33 3 Posted May 27, 2009 Very interesting story and compsition. Your presentation is unique and unusual. What sort of processing did you use to achieve the final picture. Mark S., Dublin. Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted May 28, 2009 Thanks, Mark. I used Photoshop CS4 to convert the middle color image to B&W. The image on the right is a color reversal of the original also done in CS4. The triple poster type presentation is done by opening a blank image and dragging the 3 images into it. I used the procedure of Scott Kelby in his book, Adobe Photoshop CS4 for Digital Photographers. It's in one of the latter chapters on presenting your work. I appreciate your comment. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted May 29, 2009 As a document, perhaps this format would be more appropriate with thee different views of the bridge...just a thought Maybe just me but I can hardly make out anything of the bridge itself... Link to comment
Larry_G1664882113 15 Posted May 30, 2009 Good thought, Rajat. I will put three together when I have a little time. Link to comment
