" The contemporary friction between Western and Muslim societies is

perhaps the key event shaping the world we live in today. Many major

wars and thousands of innocent lives lost. While military resolutions

driven by unrealistic one-sided radical view of the conflict proven shallow

and unsuccessful, Faith, religion, and cultural values are perhaps

inevitable factors in both this ongoing conflict and its resolution.

We are, more than ever challenged to honour the diversity of the world’s

humanistic and spiritual traditions while seeking common ground among

them.

To go beyond this clash, Muslims and Westerners must aspire to know

one another within a new context of sustained, dialogical engagement.

Dialogue can enable Muslims to respond more to the innovations of the

West, while also making it possible for Westerners to appreciate Islamic

conceptions of peace and thereby go beyond the habit of focusing

narrowly on those groups of Muslims that are responsible for the

shameful destructive acts or confrontational language.

Dialogue can enable Muslims to see the West aside from colonialism,

imperialism and contemporary wars in the Middle East, while also

making it possible for the West to see Muslims aside from radicalism,

terrorism and violence. "

Hayder,

Great image, amazing shades of BW. I wholly agree with your article on "Dialogue". Clearing misconceptions and creating world peace should be humanity's number one agenda. Thanks for sharing this image and the article. Take care my friend.
