jgalyon 0 Posted May 28, 2009 Thanks to all who have commented! I take no credit for the toning on this photo...and frankly, I can't recall how I came up with this particular color. I wouldn't mind duplicating it sometime...but tried once and failed miserably. oh well! warm regards, john Link to comment
gordonjb 10,860 Posted May 28, 2009 Brooding and a touch sultry. A smokey bar, late night jazz singer, sort of tulip. There is a nice flow to the lines. I like the transition from light to darkness. This image is a pleasant change of pace from the standard perky , knock your eyes out with saturation , tulip pics which I see every spring. Link to comment
lliebl 5 Posted May 28, 2009 Gordon said it so well. The interesting and creative color tones are out of character for what we typically think of when we think of tulips. Very imaginative! Well done! Regards~~~~~~~~~~~Linda Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted June 14, 2009 Gordon and Linda...I appreciate your thoughtful comments. I'm in your camp when it comes to the standard take of tulip...flowers in general, although I have to admit I've taken my share of them. This is one of those photoshop experiments that I honestly couldn't reproduce if I had a gun to my head! thanks again! John Gordon Bowbrick , May 28, 2009; 09:05 A.M. Brooding and a touch sultry. johnmyers 5 Posted October 18, 2009 Flippin' beautiful and certainly original. The lack of sharp focus only adds to the idea, which rarely happens. Link to comment
jgalyon 0 Posted October 23, 2009 thanks John! a bit of gentle breeze that wouldn't go away accounts for the lack of focus...and on this rare occassion..came in handy! john Link to comment
