Indeed a great idea! I just wonder if you could recreate this such that everything is in focus. I do appreciate that is a tall order.

I love the idea of such perspective distortion and here it fits well with a coherent theme intact. However, if I had to choose I would put the finger in sharp focus rather than the face. It is entirely possible, in these days of computer modifications, that you could have taken this twice, once with finger in focus and once with face in focus and combined them successfully.

The blue spot is the the focus point. This is 6 in from the lens and is the closest this lens can focus without a bellows. Note that with a 10.5 mm lens at 6 in, the DOF is highly asymetric.

These are so fun Jim... Love the direct gaze... Gotta get me one of those lenses... What I'm really lusting after is the new 5D MkII with which my 17-40 zoom should give similar effects. Cheerio, Raymond
