kaushikphotography 0 Posted May 24, 2009 Fantastic capture of the flower. Nice details and the croping. Just a bit light needed I think. Meaning no disrespect, adding light effect of my taste. Never mind. Rgds. Link to comment
tonmestrom 4 Posted May 24, 2009 thanks for your nice comments in the Nik forum WedPic. As I've told you before your bird shots improve by the week. Here I have to say Kaushik is spot-on. It's a bit flatly lit but never mind that. It's a joy watching your work. Link to comment
rarmstrong 0 Posted May 24, 2009 Kaushik, thanks for the example and I agree with you. The exposure adjustment continues to be a challenge for me, partly because I do my post processing on a 24" iMac which has a very bright monitor. This has had a noticeable effect on the luminance of my images on other monitors, including this laptop that I'm writing from...which looks flat. I very much appreciate your critique and suggestions. Ton, thank you! Capturing how the light illuminates this flower has been like a mini-course on using light successfully in photography. Attention to detail, which I'm constantly working to master, takes time and trial but is a very enjoyable part of this process. I'm grateful that you are out there to render your honest opinions and helpful suggestions. That is one of the great values of participating in this photography community. Plus, I like how you see the world through your camera. I am always grateful and receptive to everyone's constructive comments and I appreciate you taking the time to help me improve my images. ifti 1 Posted May 24, 2009 I definitely like this better that the previous one in harsh lighting. I like the lighting here and the textural details. It needs a little pop. Kaushik has one of the ways well demonstrated demonstrated. Link to comment
