tomin8r 0 Posted May 24, 2009 I have to congratulate you on such a great capture of a hummingbird. The lighting is perfect as is your focus and choice of shutter speed. I tip my hat to you! Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks Thomas! I don't shoot HB with this flower much, it's a chanced shot since I was staking out the Mexican Sage bush next door. :-) Use to shoot HB with my Olympus and it's a lot more difficult since it's a lot slower than this new/used camera, a Canon 40D. nhut-nguyen 0 Posted May 24, 2009 I'm very impressed with your recent hummingbird photographs, I like them very much, you presented a different flower for each shot. This image is perfect. Link to comment
tm_j 30 Posted May 24, 2009 Thanks SNN! These little fellows seem to know when each particular flower is ripe for harvest and they will only go after that flower at a given time. The Mexican Sage seems to be popular at most time, as is the Fuschia but some other flower only blooms at certain time like this Apaganthus & Kangaroo Paws. The Geranium are out there all the time but for some reason they don't feed on those any more. Happy ... bird ... shooting! :-) Link to comment
