dallalb 0 Posted May 23, 2009 This is a very common Iris of my lands: it's botanic name is "Pseudacorus" and it's common to find it near the ditches on May... I love this simple and common flower because it reveals its beauty only to anyone who wants to discover it in the tall grass near the ditches...Thank you if you would spend a little time to watch this photo and leave me a sincere comment or a critique. jeff.grant 0 Posted May 25, 2009 Alberto, I like this a lot but I think that it needs to be cropped from the top to remove the centre leaf, and probably from the bottom a little too. I think that this would really focus attention on the flower, and its beauty. Link to comment
dallalb 0 Posted May 26, 2009 Thank you all!Thank you Jeff for your suggestion: I admit that I meditated a lot upon cropping this photo... I noticed the upper leaves, but I wanted to keep the original aspect ratio (3:2) of the frame... Maybe an alternative way can be cloning those leaves and getting more dark background...Alberto. jeff.grant 0 Posted May 26, 2009 That would work. I always think of cropping away from the 2:3 ratio but a clone would be just as good. Link to comment
