GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 23, 2009 The beautiful warmth of the afternoon sun, that warmed my face and renewed my soul, seemed to have the same effect on the tightly curled Maple Leaves;......this morning, they proudly danced in the breeze as if to welcome, yet another Spring Season.....comments welcomed and very much appreciated. lesliejbng 0 Posted May 23, 2009 Lovely and a great depiction of spring and the new growth! The lighting is beautiful I like how the leaves because of the light have an almost transparent feel to them. Glad to see spring is moving right along for you :) Wonderful presentation as always Gail my friend! Take care, Leslie Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 24, 2009 Hey girl.....I took this one later in the afternoon.....and expressly sought to have the sun behind the leaves.....which are almost transparent....and being so new...they have that wonderful supple feel about them....this was a much larger image, and almost went that route...but when I honed in and considered a tighter crop...I thought it just may work....and I think it did....thankyou 'girlfriend'.....for always being a great critic and support....sincerely, Gail Link to comment

ndj 0 Posted May 28, 2009 Fabulous image Gail! You have a real talent for this sort of creative framing. I can barely manage a plain jane frame let alone something this excellent. An excellent capture wrapped up in a pretty package. Great work Gail. All the best,Neil Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted May 28, 2009 Thank you very much.....in my first job I worked in a firm in Toronto where I was a 'Word Processor'/Secretary....but we had a Graphics Company, Interior Decorating Company, Marketing, Word Processing Company.....(sold Bank Charters & we did everything from Bookeeping to Designing your Letterhead, Business Cards(if you bought a Bank Charter)....offices in London, Geneva, Milan, Hong Kong, Luxembourg, Paris, Barbados, Caymans.........was driven to work everyday in a Lincoln).....it was there that I discovered my 'art talents' were leaning very much towards Graphics.....(Iwas just a 'baby', 19 yrs...even worked in Paris, Geneva, Milan, Rome).....unfort. our Bank Mgr in London embezzled all our funds....but was a great first job & spoiled me for any other ). When my children were 10 and 13, I worked was 'Sales Desk' in a printing firm....exposure to a lot of design, and designing for Customers came into play a bit.... then owning a ''Limited Edition Print" Gallery out of our home for awhile....had me constantly envolved in arranging Custom Framing for clients...so I guess I've had my 'toes dangling in the stream' for a bit of my life. Its too bad I hadn't gotten into Photography way back then...who knows how accomplished I might be now. But 'there is a time for all things...." thanks again...for the kind words and encouragement!.....Gail Link to comment
