gretel_vanseer 1 Posted August 6, 2002 To me the picture radiates 'hope'. "after the darkness of several months, finally the sun starts to shine again" "leaded by the rocks, the knights finally find their way". OK, maybe I have a bit too much imagination, but I think it is a very good shot, which make you wonder what's behind it. Link to comment
gandyjs 0 Posted August 7, 2002 The foreground stones too await their magnificent moment in the magical glow. And yes, I like the photograph. Link to comment
laura2 0 Posted August 7, 2002 It looks so surreal, I expect the hand of God to come down and punch me in the head. :) Seriously though, it's beautiful. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 8, 2002 I expect the rocks to speak in the next frame, or some other wonderful thing. It's beautiful. Link to comment
alex_taylor 0 Posted August 8, 2002 It works quite well! The stones are well-placed to lead your eye up to the amazing sunshine in the background. Awesome colours too! Link to comment
john_froelich1 0 Posted August 10, 2002 The rays of sunlight really make the stark landscape come alive. Was this taken up along the "Snow Road" coming from Lærdal? Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted August 10, 2002 Yes! just under the highest point on the road (1306 m.o. the sea) On the way down to Aurland! Link to comment
tom_roberts 0 Posted August 11, 2002 Ok Atle, youve really done it this time. As if your portraitsof the unsurpassed beauty of Norway weren't spectacular enough, you had ot post this one! Goodness it is truly original, I dontknow how you captured it. Was it by chance or patiently waiting? Amazing photograph! Link to comment
atle.g 0 Posted August 11, 2002 Have to say it was by chance! But going out to photograph when it's a lot of/changing in the weather increase the chance to get pictures like this. Link to comment
alex_khakhalev 0 Posted August 24, 2002 It is a dream picture to shoot. Rocks creates a nice line to the center and break in the skies. Everything just in right place! Link to comment
phule 9 Posted December 16, 2002 I think if a photograph is chosen as Photograph of the Week, the owner should be allowed to upload a larger version that goes beyond current photo.net policies. I find myself craving the details in this photo and one just can not get it with its current size. Link to comment
