jerrymat 4 Posted May 22, 2009 Indeed, a woodpecker with a wonderful red cap. I can just imagine that head pivoting forward to allow the beak to hammer at the tree trunk. All of that implied motion needs space to allow our imagining it. I think, perhaps, here you have placed that soon-to-be-active head too close to the top margin. Implied motion needs space in the composition. Also a vertical crop would work much better. You have bark of tree on the left and right side background space that are not doing too much for the image. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
