evan.lavine 0 Posted May 21, 2009 Take your time processing, because this is absolutely beautiful. I love Fire Island, I love Long Island and I love this photo. From the angles formed by the handlebars, the glow of sun on her hair and the fact that she is not looking at the camera makes this very strong. I am happy to have seen this today, best, evan Link to comment
setsail728 15 Posted May 22, 2009 I feel like I'm walking in Fair Harbor and I can hear the little girl's bicycle bell ringing as she wants to pass me!! I see the little girl is wearing a cast on her right arm. Perhaps she needs a little help with the bike! Wondeful photo. Captures the spirit of Fire Island. I love her looking down...as little kids will do when learning to ride. Nice highlight in her hair!! Link to comment
Todd Kowalski 1 Posted August 6, 2009 Beau, I have not seen your work in quite a while, and I must tell you that your work is that of what I consider to be among my favorites. You have a incredible eye and curiosity and final posting process that few have the ability, or discretionary value to do. It is of the the finest that I have seen. I admire and respect what you do. wai_au 0 Posted October 13, 2009 I don't usually comment on photos but I had to say a few things about this great photo. So many strong elements: - Blurred background focuses on the little girl and more specifically her long shiny beautiful hair. - Not looking into the camera gives the picture a mysterious quality. It also demonstrates that she is trying hard pushing ahead in spite of her arm cast which adds a element of sadness. The B&W style also adds to the sadness. - There are many emotions within this single photograph - hope, sadness, endurance, strength. It's what the artistic side of photography is all about. And I can't believe that you've done it with a Rangefinder. You have accomplish what most photographers with a bagful of equipment simply cannot do. Congrats! Overall, just a great picture. Thanks for sharing. Link to comment

patrick_li2 0 Posted November 7, 2009 What a nice shot with the pretty old and manual camera ... amazing controlling skills over the file cameras. Link to comment
philipbogdan.com 0 Posted January 8, 2010 You've done a marvelous job in capturing mood. Your depth of field is perfect, as is your subject matter. I don't believe many would photograph a child on a bike in such a memorable way. Thanks for your vision. Link to comment
