Paul...thank you. i shot the whole flower...but the beauty was found upon closer inspection...as so often is the case.

Gabriel... thank you as well. it's hard to go wrong with such a beautiful subject!

El Porte...thank you dear! we're viewing about two square inches of the flower...and was so glad that the view worked, sense it was not my original intention to do a macro version of the photograph.

John, this is just great ! We have looked at it several times, and like it better and

better. It`s original and very eyecatching. You have also done a great job with

the "difficult" white.

Kind regards, Anne & Runar :-)

i do agree with you because i see your point. and it is a good one. but it is very frustrated because we are a community and we should help each others as the way you put it. but it does not happen or if it does is rare. they say they will come with something new to fix the rating issue and i am going to be here and experiment that. i have a couple ideas that would really improve the quality of this site too, but i have reservations for sharing them since i am not so "happy" around here. i guess for now is all about networking and keep on trying to make good contacts that could come with the critiques that i need.

the thing about feeling like i am being laughed at is that the 3/3 rate i get for my photos are as such. they are almost as someone being to lazy to rate the photo and just rate it for the sake of rating it. if they would be as 1/3, 2/3, 3/1, etc... would really let me know that the person behind give it a thought on how the photo was. and most of the 3/3 are from moderators too which makes it even worst. i rarely rate without saying a few words about the photo. and i always leave my name behind the rating with the exception of a few on my first days here. i try and critique the best i can for my knowledge also, and sometime i just leave a nice thought if i think is beyond my iq of understanding the work of that person. i never rate photos within the first 15 pages of top photos unless i see something that really pops out which is very rare. doing it so i try to make the "underdogs" advance within those pages so more people would get to see them. commonsense and logic, something that this place needs and lots of it. but i should never forget, i am between humans.

anyway,i like this photo. i am a sucker for sensuality and all that it is. i can really see it here.

thank you Romeo...and good to hear from you old friend! I was away from P.net for over a year, coming back in April, 2009. when i left...administration had been promising changes to the ratings system for close to a year...and now, more than another year has passed...and nothing has changed. honestly, Romeo...I think the best thing any of us can do is to just drop the whole issue of ratings. There is enormous displeasure with the present system...yet nothing changes. I'm learning to live with it...but don't hesitate to state that the whole concept of anonymous ratings simply provides a safe haven for those who wish to do nothing more than "piss is someone's punch"...for whatever perverted kick they derive from acting developmentally delayed, those who know nothing about photography, probably don't even realize they know nothing about it...and even if they did...won't take the time or make the effort to learn it. it bothers me much more for me to see a photograph of one of my peers recieve an obviously unjustifiable low rating...than my own. and to make things worse...4/4 has now become the new 3/3. and now...i almost never receive a 5/5 that isn't an anonymous rating. realize this...this is a business first and foremost. the present rating system somehow results in optimized financial gain for Pnet....or it would have been changed. it's a ridiculous system and everyone knows it. it we could follow the money trail...we'd understand why things remain the same. business has always been about making money...but at one time ethics and true concern for the customer played a part in at least some businesses. that's an era gone by.
