Very creative photo Alon.   However, to me your rendition seemed soft and slightly dark.  I was thinking part of your objective (not all) was texture.  So I did a little post processing of your photo in Lightroom 3.2.  I used tone curve to brighten the highlights and darken the shadows a bit, added some sharpening, then used just a touch of noise reduction.   I left your B&W tone curve alone.

Just a slightly different rendition than yours, not necessarily better, depending on what your objective was.   Thanks for sharing.

The photographer's own dark rendition is perfect. A compelling image.

It's much stronger than any of the "architectural" images around it.  Give it a space of its own. Do you have more of this, a series?
