soniam 6 Posted May 19, 2009 Great perspective. I love the textures in the wood and the slope of the land. I'm not sure but I think your DOF could have been shallower to keep the distant images crisper. Still, wonderful capture. I love this composition Link to comment

thadley 14 Posted September 3, 2009 What a wonderful idea and great lead-in to the rest of the image. From a landscape perspective you really have a challenging scene. After the end of the wood and before the beginning of the mountains you have a bit of empty space and there is not much you can do with it. I might have got right down and placed the camera on the log and this lowering, would reduce the amount of middle space in the image. Also placing the log in a diagonal position sometimes improves the aesthetics. I try to avoid 'empty' spaces in my images but that is a personal style.
