Eyes are the subject of this photo, as well as various other contrasts:

the aging Jewish man with his dark glasses and the young black girl

with her very white eyes -- plus several other contasts all caught during

one single moment as they passed quickly by. While not the

most 'beautiful' photograph of the year, I invite you to study it a little for

its content including contrasts. Your ratings and critiques are invited

and most welcome. If you rate harshly or very critically, please submit

a helpful and constructive comment; please share your superior

photographic knowledge to help improve my photography. Thanks!

Enjoy! John

Few rated, not very many viewed (probably during 'slideshow' or 'looking for the point, no one so far has commented, and in general, I feel this photo is poorly understood; maybe it's just not liked, but understood well, who knows?

Why is it interesting to me?  The juxtaposition is shutka (Russian for a jest or joke).

The large man, with the Jewish yarmulke, is white with black eyes -- either he's blind or he's had his pupils dilated and wearing special sunglasses to protect his retinas until his pupils respond normally.

Contrasting: the very black girl, has very white eyes.

Visual joke, a sort of humor I like.

Maybe others do not, they just don't get, or possibly more on point, the photo (even with an interesting idea) they don't find so wonderful.

That's life, but my requirements for posting are not views, rates or comments, but simply I like 'em or find 'em interesting and decide to show 'em, and when others wish to react, to share the reaction.
