Such an original idea, i had a mix of strange feelings when looking at this one. I am sorry to say it, but it makes me feel like a thief. Amazing how that little sign made the photo. This is a brilliant capture indeed. Very well done and best Regards.

Not only a very fine composition under the circumstances, but superb colour and a wonderful subtle undertone

Best regards

Hola Jörg. Un trabajo excelente, con tu estilo tan personal, que es la base de un artista, a mi me gusta mucho. Un cordial saludo, y mas, Joaquin.

These photos were just begging to be shot...It's usually candid photography that wins the thievery award but you did good and found a way to break that rule!...Marjorie

This reminds me of the day back in 1988 when I played cat and mouse with with an elderly Russian babushka (sp?) trying to get photos of 19th C. coaches in the Armory Museum in the Kremlin. They didn't turn out as nicely as these. Good work and a fun idea for a post! Whenever I see the "no photos" image, I take it as a personal challenge. GJ

Most of us agree that this is one of the best photos we have seen on PN under street category for the past few days. Well i was checking " Summary of Ratings" for this photo when a 4/3 appeared! Its a bit strange to rate this one with less than 3 and without providing a critique, for me 3 means the photo is below average, and even if i want to be very very very harsh then i would not rate this one here with less than 4. The strange coincidence happened when i was checking my " Summary of Ratings" for several of my photos and I discovered that i got many 3/3 and 4/3 today !! for a a number of photos which are already on the top of the list and rated high by many experienced and very well known members of PN. I don't mind at all the low ratings, i hate it when people lie to me and give me 7/7 so that I give them a 7/7 back. Low rating is very healthy , but i wish to find an explanation and a justification when low ratings shows on the list, a hash comment is always better than saying nothing at all. Otherwise whats the idea of this site. We are not sharing our work just to get 6 and 7, we don't want to lie to ourselves, nor we want others hypocrisy. Being honest and constrictive are very enough to justify any low rating for any photo, even a masterpiece. But the pattern i see here is very different, once the photo reaches the top of the list a number of 3/3 appears by anonymous members, i think this is sick. Photography is not a race and the real joy is not when you take the ratings but when you take the photo! We all know that anyone can make a number of accounts with fake names and fake photos and after a while the ratings he/she has given are approved by PN system. It doesn't require a genius to figure this out, but it requires a true mental sickness to do it. I hope we can post a thread to discuss this issue openly and publicly between PN members and PN administrators - who are always working hard to make this game fare for every one. One last word - in this unfortunately long essay - we all know what is our true nature and our true value not only in PN but in this life, we just sometimes don't have the courage to face ourselves, so we start lying to ourselves and others, but surly we cant lie for too long. Thank for baring with me these very long lines. Regards. Heider Alward

It shows lack of respect for the poster of the 'don't photograph' sign. The person that lives and/or works there. Asocial behaviour by just another tourist with a camera..

Dear Hayder Al-Ward, yes you are right. I dont want to speak about my shot. However it will be very difficult to find some rules to skip ratings out, which are not on the level of the actual shots. Reason for "false" ratings might be: simple mistake by typing, bad screen quality, false glasses, might be also that someone dont like someone or ... . Thanks for your comment. BR Joerg
