aarkp 2 Posted May 15, 2009 This photograph has been taken at 7:09am at the gate of Law Garden, a popular place for morning walkers and strollers. The grey sploshes are the spray from a fountain and not some "treatment" or artificially induced effect. The children's delight is evident but they are viewing the fountain as one normally would. What you are seeing is a frozen instant of a view through the fountain. What do you think? Does it work? Link to comment
mazevedo 0 Posted May 16, 2009 I do think it works, it has an almost impressionist look. The only thing I don't like so much is the man face that is not affected by the fountain. But one can only work hard and expect to attend perfection, isn't it?Excellent crop and great colors.BR,--MAAPS: sorry can't give 7s to orig. right now, I'll come back. Link to comment

dara 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Rajat, interesting and imaginative work....you do not use the straight forward,or orthodox approach to this shot it has a artistic element to it....regards Link to comment
aldrich 0 Posted May 16, 2009 Rajat, What doesn't work for me is the crop. The green leaves in the upper left are very distracting to me. Slice that portion away, and it will be a cleaner image, IMHO. This effect reminds me of the "plastic wrap" filter in photoshop. I am impressed you were able to capture this effect out in the world. Outside of the above concern, yes, it works for me. Nicely captured. As always, thanks for sharing! --Ryan Link to comment
mauroni 0 Posted May 18, 2009 Rajat, sorry to say, but I do not agree with the other friends that say that it works. If I hadn't your narrative I wouldn't be albe to understand what was going on whit the picture and I would have probably thought exactly to some strange photoshopping. But even now that I know the trick I have some problem with the composition that seems fortuitous. Probably, as Ryan suggest, some improvement would be added by a good cropping. Mauro Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted May 19, 2009 Mauro, I'm glad to have you as a friend. From a friend I would expect no less. Your honesty heartens and gladdens me no end. I myself doubted people would accept that this was the real thing. I'm considering cropping the top bit, but not on the left. My sincere thanks. Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted June 28, 2009 The image without your explanation is a painting, the string in the foreground, first seems to me was a bend of an old image retouched. BW made into color. From the small image I was attracted to see the children faces, and I was confused to see disturtions. However the image causes emotions and that is a great accomplisment. 7/7 +. Warm regards. aarkp 2 Posted June 28, 2009 Jorge, my friend, if you go on giving me 7s how am i am ever going to rate your photographs honestly! In the last few days twice i have tried to do so, but to no avail... this garden is owned by the municipality and the string is to keep people out of the fountain area -- keep them at a distance Link to comment
