Undercover

The story behind this image is, this lady was selling seeds for the pigeons in front of a

mosque in Istanbul. When I first started taking pictures of her she hid her face but then

we started talking and she was quite happy to have her photos taken. I will post more

photos of her where her face is revealed too. She was a lovely lady with a sad story....

Well titled & composed, with the rows of seeds ( I was wondering what is it. Thks for explaining) & her face behind the broom. The bg of red/white stripes also a perfect fit here.

What an excellentl photo, B.C! The color composition is so dramatic. I really like the way the little red tins of seed cakes create a horizontal red line that echoes the background - and the odd black tin is a fantastic touch - picks up her dress and adds a sense of randomness to an otherwise very structured composition. Then there is the broom - and the statement that it makes. This photo is a standout!!!

B,C, a timely shot, that made all the difference between mundane and original. Your caption is in concert with the image. I admire your sense of humour and perseverance to win the confidence of this coy lady. Waiting for more images in this series:-)
