Maybe you're just a bit too close, or above her eye level, because I sense a slight optical distortion here. Or it's just an impression.

Lucian, I used Sony SAL50F14 so I doubt if there is any real distortion. Perhaps very sharp light from the setting Sun makes such impression.

Traveling a bit in your files, this one attracted my attention.Very unusual light play on her head and hair, her portrait looks very natural. I like her placement on the frame as well as her nice expression.The shallow back light is very appropriate, beautiful color palette.

Thank you very much for your comment. You are a true artist and I am an amateur so I really appreciate your opinion. This was 100% natural. The sun was about to set and she was resting on the bank of the river after a bike ride. When I saw how wonderful the light was I asked her if I can take a picture and it turned up splendid.
