It is art of course, but what is and isn't is not the question here. The almost grey wire and the deep blue sky, I don't know, doesn't grab me. I tried this a few b&w conversions and found it more satisfying without color, but then I do like b&w.

Like it. Its different. For me it would have been a nothing shot had it not been for the blue sky. brings out the depth of the wire. Great positioning of the twist in the frame. Whats the halo however around the wire ?

Chuck, I think it must have grabbed you enough that you wanted to play with conversions. I too, like black and white but felt the blue sky gave a more appropriate feeling to the title. Thanks for taking the time.

 

nabarun, It would appear we like this for the same reasons. Thanks for that. The halo, as far as I can see, is jpg compression. It is not so evident on the large version of this. (Just click on the picture.) It is definitely not there on the full resolution image.
