rascal64 9 Posted May 11, 2009 To crop or not to crop...that is the question. Please leave any additional feedback as well. Link to comment
juan-de-santa-anna 0 Posted May 12, 2009 uh...why crop this beauty? I can feel the wind....nice one! Link to comment
amyknutkowski 0 Posted May 12, 2009 I agree with Juan, this is a beautiful shot! It's all about texture: the sweater, the jeans, the logs, the grass, the sky... all gorgeous. My recommendation is to crop out the stump on the left because its brightness was drawing my eye away from the main subject and then just leaving it hanging there wanting to see the rest of the stump. I really liked that tuft of grass on the foreground log though because it adds character and points back to the child... so I moved it over and cropped out the stump. Great job! Link to comment
jkilgo 0 Posted May 12, 2009 This is nice...I really like the perspective you chose to shoot this at...it adds drama and interest...and combined with the PP treatment and the dark forboding sky, creates a powerful image. As for the crop...I lke it as is, but I'm not crazy about the stump...either open up a bit more or cut it out. Just a thought. Take care. Jeff. Link to comment
rascal64 9 Posted May 12, 2009 Thank you Jeff, Juan and Amy. I appreciate the feedback. I wasn't sure about cropping the stump. But looking back, maybe all I really wanted was the clump! Thank you for pointing out the visual cue it provides, Amy. Link to comment
