Jorg; thanks for commenting. Yes a little "bit" of crop. The left side is closed by the chair back but the photo had no end to itself on the right side so I cropped a little.

They are truly enjoying their icecreams.

They almost look like to be posing for a commercial shooting session :)

Now that's what I call 'candid street'! Great tonality and bg blurr just right. The crop issue is a question of individual taste I guess. Compliments, El

Bulent; thanks for writing. They look to me like really contemplating on this ice cream. Elena, yes very candid. As for the crop; on the right was a lot of distraction so I hope I made the right desision.

Beautiful spectacle and B&W toning! If someone asks why very good for originality, just tell him that I don't see very often pictures like this one Meir, ha! Cheers!

elena/bulent I received low ratings on the photo, including 3. Thinking maybe that it looks so posed that it was assummed posed and if it were posed that would account for the ratings cause it looks like I said "hold it; freeze!!" and then took the shot.

Referring to your remark above: This is by definition not a posed capture! You shot this image with your 105mm means you had to go waaaaay back to achieve this result. I can not imagine that you scream accross the street 'hold it - freeze' ....:) Simply ignore the ratings, keep shooting - and share with your friends. Thank you!

Meir, I think this is great. You caught them in a natural reaction to their dessert. They are not happy, or upset, just intrigued. Wonderful moment. I love the BW.

Don't want to disappoint you They were unaware of me but I was not across the street; A 105mm is not a long lens; in fact it is a good portrait lens as is the 80mm. This photo was shot from a distance about like across my living room. I use the 105mm in most cases because of the lesser DOF at f2.8 vs the 50mm and not right up in people's faces. Unfortunately I was on ISO 800 without knowing. I never owned a zoom because a fixed focal length lens in this focal length range is huge/huge/huge!!. Thanks for comment and especially gives me what to read when I wake in the morning -otherwise life would be very dull.

Excellent tones and composition. I am not sure if they are appreciative or skeptic of the ice-cream ....really people may have so many attitudes regarding ice-creams. Ha ha. Best regards.

You caught a great moment here, Meir. I love the intent look of concentration on each of their faces. Often, it's cell phones that distract people from the person they are sharing a table with. It's so much better when it is ice cream!
