One sees these radiant skyscapes from time to time, though not usually so somber. The special feature here is the counterpoint in the landscape--the cascading hills that catch the light. The one quibble I have is with the bright roof, which is useful as a focal point but looks like an artifact in this wonderful natural landscape. Perhaps it could be a little smaller?

While the processing and colors are gorgeous here, I feel some may prefer a more natural approach. Obviously, there would never be such colors at the time of day this was taken - with the sun being so high in the sky. Regardless, it is a beautiful painterly interpretation that hits both high and low notes in style.
