home page1 0 Posted May 9, 2009 Mine that Bird was several lengths ahead of this pack with an amazing come from behind victory. Link to comment
jeffwatts 0 Posted May 9, 2009 Ken - this is a fantastic image and as exciting as that stretch run. (I can say that as I had $$$ on Mind That Bird) You really hit the nail on the head with this shot. What I think would also be a great alternate effect, would be to use some imaging software to create a painting like image. This is only to create alternate effects as I love the shot just as it is. Now, on to the Preakness. Regards, Jeff Link to comment
amitai schwartz 0 Posted May 9, 2009 Ken. This is great. I actually think it looks a bit like a painting, as is. The motion is stopped perfectly with a nice hazy background. How did you get such a good vantage point? Link to comment

home page1 0 Posted May 10, 2009 I am fortunate to have a significant other that can get great seats at the Derby. We had a box on the rail just past the first turn. In fact, I couldn't have captured this image if all the professionals from major publications had not been crouching down in front of our box as they snapped their images. It was also nice being able to talk to the pros before the race. Jeff and Amatai, I got a nice image of Big Brown last year from the same point of view that rendered very nicely printed on canvas with a painterly look. This would probably do well also. jayme 0 Posted July 17, 2009 Oh yeah, that's what I'm talking about :) Super capture! I just know you have this hanging by now :) Perfect DOF, positioning in the canvas, color (looks like you arranged them :), perfect stop action. In fact, it looks like they are getting ready to run you over :) Absolutely no improvements needed! Great! Did you sell this to anyone yet? You should, would make a great 20x30! Very cool :) Link to comment
