The expression on his face and the exposure are fine; the composition needs improvement. Leave more space on the side of the picture he is facing; give him room to look through. Here he is looking toward the closer margin and the picture feels lopsided.

Best wishes,

Jerry

Sorry Jerry, he was in a moving convertible and I was running alongside trying not to get run over by the motorcylcle cops escorting him. In an ideal world I would have requested the driver to stop so I could take some better photos.

why is this black and white? His shirt and feather boa look like they have some great colour in them. You could tint it or something. Agreed about the composition. I'm personally repulsed by the man's face, but that has nothing to do with you, I guess.

Personally, I think you caught his true personality here. That's so hard to do when you're doing a moving street shot - as in, you and the subject moving. I don't understand the harshness of some comments that were left. You're a gentleman to respond so nicely.

Considering your 'conditions' re 'capturing' this photo.....I think you did quite well....kind of hard to have a perfect composition when in a 'moving vehicle'......at least you attempted the shot..and you captured his face quite well....congrats!

Hi Liz and Gail! I was happy as can be that I got some of the shots I did, there were 25,000 people trying to take photos of him. Watch him Tuesday night, they will have some footage of his time in Milwaukee last Friday. I mean to say "he is a true American (Idol) not "he a".

Danny is a good likeable kid and will do well for himself. Good job under the conditions. Celebrety shots should always be judged different from shots in a controlled setting. Good job.
