gsphotoguy 3 Posted May 10, 2009 At the end of our Glamour101 workshop one-on-one session we had some time so we moved from light painting to making a few photographs in this window. Link to comment
jerrymat 5 Posted May 10, 2009 My own esthetic is that a nude woman before a window should be bathed in softness. Here you have used a high lighting ratio and cast the shadow into darkness; it does not feel soft. It feels harsh. At least her face should show better on the shadow side. A reflector or flash fill or studio light fill would have relieved this condition. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
raymondborg 0 Posted May 10, 2009 I agree with Jerry. The light is not right for this type of photography. It is too harsh. Half of her face and the upper part of her chest are totally black. Using a reflector for some fill in light would have improves this image. Link to comment
gsphotoguy 3 Posted May 10, 2009 Thank you both for your honest opinions. In this particular image I was going for something contrastier but might have gone too far. There are other images with Pam facing the window that are probably better. Link to comment
