After the previous attempt I worked on getting the exposure correct for a repeat of my light painting images. At a recent Glamour101 workshop I tired again with these results.

I have shown a print of this to several people who commented that her

right breast looks somewhat disconnected from her body. I wonder if

others feel that way and if it detracts from the overall effect?

The model has quite large heavy breasts for a small frame. Also the high contrast between the right and left side doesn't help. My monitor is not calibrated and her left side appears burnt out. That shadow on the right breast draws the eye. Take the shadow out and she won't look odd. This is only my opinion, if someone has a better one please take it away. This looks like a very old photograph(is it?).

Experience tells me that prints look very different to images on a screen depending on how they are printed. Her right breast does look very different to her left breast. What is not clear is how much of this is down to the lighting and how much is down to nature.

I find the whole image strange. What I do like about it is her gaze. It reveals nothing.

Her left breast is totally burnt out and looks destructing. Also the left side of her face is is shadow whilst her breast on the same side is burnt out. My conclusion is that there is some light conflicts. Regards.

I wrote to Glenn directly so this comment is a repeat to him.

To Glenn and David, Pam went through breast cancer at a young age and, I believe had reconstruction. Much of what you see is lighting related, a result of the light painting technique as applied here, although it does look different in a print.

To Raymond, yes the lighting is uneven and odd as one would expect when light painting. I showed this and others from this session to a group of photographers on Wednesday and they thought the lighting was too even. They liked the earlier attempts better.

On June 14 I expect to do more of this so stay tuned.
