Changing your camera did not effect your "signature" a bit.

I still recognize your photos from their thumbnails 100% of the time.

And, "that" is a special thing.

I just wonder how do you "feel" about shooting with your new camera.

Thank you for coming and commenting... How do I feel? There are some missing features on the D700. The D700 gives a softer more appealing contrast..How do I feel? Sending separate email with images from DX camera and D700 that says it all. So I am very satisfied with the D700 and will not go back to film or DX except if I want to carry two cameras and with two I'll give. Thanks for asking and the nice comment..

I think the D700 did a great job with this photo. The white sweater held in range excellent. The skirt fell below zone III so texture in the skirt was lost (maybe not in the raw) but any camera would not do better with the blacks in this light situation -kind of like the nightmare of shooting weddings..

As said above, indeed this capture has unmistakenly your signature - the fine grey tones inluded. Compliments and regards, El

Meir,

what makes this image for me are her looks, the expression on the face, and her right hand lying on the bike. I always end up looking at these two things. For the face it is obvious: it is naturally the focal point, but apart from the evident fact that she is beautiful lady, it is that intense gaze, somewhere between pensive and annoyed. The hand took naturally a position that is strongly reminiscent of classical painting ad sculpture, and there is something in her overall position that looks like a modern, busy marketplace version of countless classical poses. It i probably this contrast that brings me back to this image again and again.

Ciao! L.
