soniam 6 Posted May 5, 2009 Wonderful choice for B&W. Perfect focus and DOF. I'm not a big fan of the tiled border in this situation. Regardless, I love the free expression and soft light. Link to comment
dandem 1 Posted May 5, 2009 It is so easy to look at, Les. Wonderful b/w work. I really like the typical inquisitive kid expression that you have captured so well. Well done, my friend. Regards, Lawrence. Link to comment
khataw 0 Posted May 6, 2009 Leslie, Great shot. I like the expression and BW processing does it justice. The tiled portions on the top and right side are a bit distracting. Overall a great image. Best Regards Link to comment

thadley 15 Posted May 6, 2009 A truly joyous image - the angle of the swing rope, the way her head is positioned is all appealing - I feel the joy and tranquility of a young person on a swing without a care in the world. Very nice tonal range also. Now for a minor distraction. I tried placing a main image on a background image and a couple of trusted friends told me that it added nothing and in fact, it distracted them from the main image. I thought I was being creative but I eventually came to the realization that they were right. Could this be the case here? Does the background image add value? does it distract? My personal preference with this image is that I would prefer it without the background image. But it is really your choice especially as this is a 'personal' image. Well done and warm regards!
